“It’s a boy” | Pregnancy shoot

When my friends Trent and Tracey came to me to do their pregnancy shoot, I was honoured. It was their first baby, and it was a privilege to share that moment with them.

The photoshoot ended up happening very late in Tracey’s pregnancy, so with it being right in the middle of Summer, you can imagine how hot, tired and out of energy poor Tracey was by the end of the day!

Despite the hot weather, I think we got some great images out of the shoot, and it was lovely to share this moment with the two of them.

Trent and Tracey went on to have a baby boy and they named him Kaden James. He is a healthy and beautiful baby and I wish them all the best as they start their life together as a cute little family.

I also had the opportunity to take a few piccies of their family and here are a few sneak peeks of little Kaden from our shoot.

Chris and Loreta | Engagement Photoshooot at Southbank and Roma Street Parklands

I love engagement shoots. Helping to create some beautiful memories of a couple showing their love is very rewarding. Especially when they’ve travelled all the way from Malaysia to shoot with me.

Loreta and Chris found my site on google and contacted me wanting to get some nice photos together which they would use to play on a projector at the reception after their wedding in early 2012. How sweet! :)

The day didn’t really go according to plan, well the start of it anyway.
I was supposed to meet with them first, and then Belinda MacPhail, our makeup artist, was to meet us there for Loreta’s makeup. But I didn’t end up getting there until Belinda had just finished her makeup. That was because of my car, she decided to play games with me and not start. Luckily now, I have a much better car :)

Anyway, after all of that, it ended up being a great photoshoot, with clear skies and sunshine.

Sienna’s 4th Birthday

Kids parties are always so much fun. Brings back lots of memories from when I was a kid. Pinatas, fairy bread, pass the parcel and a little bag of treats to take home. Good times!

Sienna’s 4th dress up birthday party was just that. Lots of games, playing in the backyard, music, food, presents, face painting plus heaps more.

I had the pleasure of being able to capture some memories for Kristy, her mum, to look back on later, or even to whip out at Sienna’s 21st :)

The Grassy Knoll | A showcase of Independant Young Artists thanks to Transit Lounge Caboolture

I’ve been helping my community lately by joining forces with the lovely and talented girls from Transit Lounge Caboolture.

The girls from TLC are involved in a lot of creative events that happen in our community and all across the Moreton Bay Regional Shire.
I helped with a few events and projects for Youth Week this year, and one of them was The Grassy Knoll where I took photos at, along with Geoff.

“The Grassy Knoll is a gig presenting a diverse line up of independent young artists from the Moreton Bay region. Which entailed a huge mash up of music, visual art, performance art and more. It’s like a vaudeville side show, Sunday afternoon picnic, and rock show rolled into one big outdoor festival and it was free!”

Riley Butler | Newborn Baby Photoshoot

My first newborn shoot, and boy was he a cutie. This tiny little bubba, 3 weeks new, fit into almost anything – picnic baskets, buckets, wrapped up as a present, and pretty much slept the whole time :)

Our First Holiday in Melbourne, plus Usher and Trey Songz!

Melbourne, what can I say. The city that never sleeps. It would have to be one of my favourite places at the moment. Everything from the art and restaurants/cafes to the great public transport and great night life. There’s a million things to do – you’ll never get bored in Melbourne CBD.

I’d been waiting for years and years for Usher to come to Australia on tour, and finally he was coming in March of this year. But his Brisbane show happened to be on the night of a wedding I had already booked, so I couldn’t cancel someone’s wedding, but I had to see Usher.
So I thought why not go on a bit of a holiday to somewhere Geoff and I hadn’t been before, and also tie in our Usher trip with our 3 year anniversary. So we did just that and off we jetted to Melbourne for a 10 day holiday :)

We went to cute little restaurants, went down the famous graffiti alleyways, chauffeured around the city in a carriage pulled by horses, visited the zoos and aquariums, shopped, rode on the trams, visited family, went on day tours and saw the 12 apostles and cute little penguins, took a million photos and saw my Usher in concert as well as Trey Songz who supported him.

We had such a great time and didn’t want to come back to Brisbane after. I think we both really loved Melbourne so much because of all the art. It’s such a beautiful city – cold but beautiful :)

Rebecca Chandler | Valentines Day Photoshoot at Bribie Island

Back in February I had a special going for a Valentines Day photoshoot. Rebecca showed interest as she wanted to get some portraits done of herself to give to her hubby.

We had Courtney Hoey do Rebecca’s makeup which she did a great job of. And were joined by Bec’s very cute puppy, Riley, who might I say, was very photogenic and loved posing for the camera :)

It ended up being a lovely afternoon shooting with an old friend at a beach over at Bribie Island, QLD.

Leah Thistlethwaite | Fashion and Lingerie Photoshoot

I was honoured when Leah, an old friend from high school, asked me to take some photos of her to start her modelling portfolio.
It was her very first photoshoot and although very nervous, she did a fantastic job…well I think so anyway :)

We had the help of a very talented clothing designer Vincija from the Gold Coast, QLD. She came all the way to Roma Street Parklands in Brisbane, where the shoot was, and helped dress Leah in some of her beautiful garments.

We also had the very talented makeup artist, Courtney Hoey, take time out of her busy schedule, to fit us in for a beautiful makeup look for Leah.

Leah and I got on like a house on fire. We hadn’t seen each other in so long, yet when the day of the shoot came, it felt like we had only just seen each other a day or two before.

Lisa Pullos | Fashion Photoshoot at Old Petrie Town

Lisa and I are actually old friends from primary school. I’ve known her since year 1. So it made our first shoot together a breeze, as we had loads of catching up to do, and laughing at all the crazy things we used to get up to, as well as shooting of course :)

When Lisa contacted me to do another shoot for her before she moved to Sydney in January this year, I couldn’t say no and miss that opportunity to work with her again.

We shot at Old Petrie Town in Dayboro, QLD, a deserted town during the week, and craft market on the weekends. And had Courtney Hoey do Lisa’s makeup while Geoff filmed behind the scenes footage and put together an awesome video. Take a look at the video, as well as a few photos from our shoot, below. Matt and Telah | High School Pre-formal Photos

Geoff and I had the privilege of photographing my brother, Matthew and his girlfriend, Telah’s graduation and pre-formal photos.

For the pre-formal photos, we got my family and her family together and took some photos in our backyard, then moved on to some lovely areas around the lakes at Centenary Lakes, Caboolture for some couple shots of Matthew and Telah. They make such a cute couple. See for yourself below :)

I also had a coffee table book made for them, as a graduation gift. These books/albums I offer in my packages for weddings and model portfolios etc. The quality of the pages and the book overall is amazing.
